Tenney Miller (MI) passed away January 16. Tenney served as President of the Michigan Federation of Music Clubs and Monday Musical Club. She held many other positions on the local, state and national level. Tenney was an advocate for our juniors members and National Music Week. We will miss her generosity and dedication to MFMC and NFMC.

Joann Widmer (OR) passed away December 16 after a short battle with cancer. Joann served on NFMC and OFMC for many years, holding several chairmanships. Many will remember that at the NFMC meeting in Portland, Oregon (2014) she was surprised by her OFMC friends as a Rose Fay Thomas Fellow for her dedicated service to the state. A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, Dec. 27th at 11am at Tillamook First Christian Church with reception following. Gloria Thrasher (Texas) passed away November 7. Gloria is the immediate past president of Texas Federation of Music Clubs. Gloria served tirelessly for NFMC, TFMC and Opera in the Ozarks. She will be missed by her family and many Federation friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at Catholic Church of Rockdale, Texas. Peggy Radmer, longtime Federation member passed away on Thursday, October 27th. Peggy held multiple Wisconsin Federation of Music Club offices. She was the State Festival and Gold Cup chairman for many years, State President from 2007-2011, and currently a local Federation Festival chairman as well as North Central Region Federation Festival Chairman. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Becker Ritter Funeral Home, 14075 W. North Ave., Brookfield, WI 53005 from 4PM to 7PM and again Friday, November 4, 2016 at 10AM until time of services at 10:30AM. Interment Valhalla Cemetery. A scholarship in Peggy's name will be established in Wisconsin for high school students who have participated in the Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs Festivals. Odee Maier (North Dakota) passed away September 21st. Odee was very active in the local, state and national activities of NFMC. She was the founder of the North Central Region, served as American Music Division Chairman and held many other chairmanships. Odee served as state president of North Dakota from 1985 - 1989. Most recently, Odee served as the NFMC Summer Music Center Chairman. The 2015 Biennial Convention was dedicated to Odee for her service to NFMC and North Dakota. Dr. Isabella Laude (FL) passed away June 21. Many will remember Isabella for her great work on Music Clubs Magazine. She held many positions in NFMC and FFMC and will be greatly missed. Margaret Whaley, PA president from 1990-1994, passed away in February. Margaret served as Music in Poetry Chairman in 2003.
Agnes Downie, VA, passed away March 12. Agnes was a staunch supporter of NFMC and will be forever missed. Most recently she was serving as PPA chairman. She was a longstanding member of Thursday Morning Music Club, Roanoke, VA, serving as President 1987 - 1991. Nancy Hatz, PA, passed away January 20 at 100 years old.She was a past PA president and served at many levels for the state and national organizations. She was a lifetime member of both PFMC and NFMC. Above all she worked diligently for the arts in her community and supported and mentored the progress of many students and performers. Her interest and support for PFMC and NFMC was well known. She was called "our cheerleader" by many who worked with her.
