Save the Children, Save Their Lives
In 2009, Dr. Simon Estes, internationally known bass-baritone, received an NFMC Citation in recognition and appreciation for distinguished service to the musical, artistic, and cultural life of the nation.
In 2010, Dr. Estes made a CD entitled, Save the Children, Save Their Lives “… to share the gift of voice God has given me and give something back. I want to introduce audiences to classical music and a trained voice, and I want to raise funds to provide scholarships for outstanding students.”
Dr. Estes will donate $5.00 from the sale of every CD purchased by and through NFMC members to be applied to the NFMC competitions and awards program. The Simon Estes School of Music in Cape Town, which serves some of the poorest children in South Africa, will benefit as well.
This CD contains the title song that Estes premiered at the FIFA Gala Concert at the World Cup Championships in Johannesburg, South Africa on July 9, 2010. In addition, the CD includes his favorite spirituals, broadway tunes, and the choir from his South African Music School. This would be a perfect choice for a Christmas present.
The CD price is $18.00 which includes shipping. Checks should be made payable to Simon Estes. CLICK HERE FOR ORDER FORM or orders can be placed with:
