Originally from Rosemount, Minnesota, Mary Wilson received her BM in Vocal Performance with Departmental Distinction from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MInnesota. She studied voice with Dan Dressen and Sang in the world-famous St. Olaf Choir. She pursued additional study at the New England Conservatory of Music with Susan Clickner. She received her MM in Vocal Performance at Washington University in May 1999 and is a student of John Stewart.
Her opera credits include roles with Union Avenue Opera Theater, Ex Machina Baroque Opera, the Minnesota Opera, Washington University Opera, Four Days in May Opera and North Star Opera. As a soloist she has appeared with the St. Louis Symphony, the Bach Society of St. Louis, the Bach Society of Minnesota, the Kingsbury Early Music Ensemble, Master Class (a national summer church music workshop in Ohio), and the Washington University Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. Ms. Wilson was an apprentice artist with Dorian Summer Opera Theater in Decorah, Iowa, and an Artist-in-Residence with Opera Theater of St. Louis. She was also awarded the Adams Masterclass Fellowship for the Carmel Bach Festival in Carmel, California.
Ms. Wilson was recently named a National Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Audition Competition. Part of the experience was having the honor to perform Handel and Mozart arias with the Metropolitan Opera orchestra.
